Diwali is one of the most awaited festival of the year by the Indians.  It is called the festival of lights.  This is the time of the year where they light candles, eat sweets, clean their homes, wear new clothes, light firecrackers and do Laxmi (Goddess of wealth and prosperity) pooja (prayer).

Since its diwali, I wanted to do a Diwali Makeup tutorial.  Here’s a step by step tutorial on how to achieve this look.

  • Face

I started with cleansing, toning and moisturizing my face.  Then I used Stila One Step Correct Correcteur to prime my face.  Then I applied RCMA color process foundation to get a full coverage. Afterwhich, I set my foundation with Mac Studio Fix Pressed Powder.

  • Cheeks

I applied Graftobian’s peach cream blush and to set it I applied Mac’s Dollymix blush.  I highlighted it with Bobbi Brown’s shimmer brick compact in Rose.  I contoured the hollows of my cheekbones, temples, the sides of the bridge of my nose and my jaw line with Mac’s Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in Dark.

  • Eyebrows

I filled in the gaps in my eyebrows with brown eye shadow (e/s)  and applied Mac’s Beguile Brow Set.

  • Eyes

I started with priming my eye lid with Mac Prep and Prime Medium.  After which I applied Urban Decay’s Honey e/s in my inner third of my lid and then applied Graffiti e/s.  In the outer third I applied Mac’s Carbon e/s. A little above my eye crease I applied 495 DS inglot e/s.  To highlight my brow bone I applied Mac’s Nylon Frost e/s.  I lined my upper lash line with Mac’s Blacktrack fluidline.  In my water line, I applied Urban Decay’s Zero 24/7 glide-on eye pencil.  Under it I applied Mac’s Blacktrack fluidline.  Below it in the inner third I applied Urban Decay’s Honey eye shadow and then applied the Graffiti eye shadow and in the outer third I applied the Mac’s Carbon e/s.

  • Lips

I lined my lips first with a pink lip liner.  Then I applied Mac’s Pink Nouveau lipstick in my entire lip.
