I visited Shu Uemura Cosmetics at Rockwell last Sunday. I learned about their latest collection – Metallic Bouquet. I totally fell in love with their metal: inks ( pencil liners in a metallic finish ). Its totally different from the liners I have used and this is smudge proof. I actually tested it n it lasted for 8 hours. I swatched them all so you would have a look on the colors available.
This liners are perfect for winged liners. Perfect for simple make up, fashion makeup or avante garde makeup.
Here are the swatches of 9/10 liners, as only 9 liners were available when I went.
My personal favorites are red, blue, gold and brown. I would definitely purchase these.
We all are used to lining our waterline with black eyeliners. There are other options we can use. I have swatched some other options for you to use.
1. Mac Coffee Lip Pencil (could be used for the eyes as well)
2. Mac Stubborn Brown Powerpoint Eye Pencil
3. Mac Fascinating Eye Khol
4. Mac Hi-Def Cyan Chromographic Pencil
5. Mac Jade Way Technakohl Eye-liner Kajal
It’s a proven fact that when you use white eyeliner in your waterline your eyes tend to look bigger. So if you feel you want your eyes to look bigger you know which one to use.
I love Mac Gel Liners its so easy to line my eyes with it. I prefer gel liners over pencil because I like to get a good precision in lining my eyes. You can go thin or thick with lining the eyes with it. We all are so used to using black in lining the eyes but there are so many other options.
Here are other options for Mac Gel liners <3 ( Water Resistant and Smudge Proof)
1. Phlox Garden
3. Rich Ground
4. Dip Down
6. Black Ivy
I have been a guest Artist in Mac for more than 3 years now. I truly love their products. So yesterday I was there as a guest artist and decided to swatch my favorite lip liners.
Here Are Mac Lip Liners I Swatched:
1. In Synch
3. Hip N Happy
8. Bespoken For
In past I would always apply lipstick directly on my lips. After taking up my makeup courses I learned that lining the lips with lip liner helps the lipstick last longer. Also it would be easier to achieve your lip shape through the pencil which looks quite appealing too.
This year I got an opportunity to attend Mac’s Runway Trends Master Class led by Romero Jennings, Mac Cosmetics Director of Makeup artistry USA. His been with Mac for 23 years now which is a great achievement. He gave us an overview of 4 latest runway trends and his shared with us his secrets to his success.
1st Trend: Re: View
2nd Trend: Enlightened
3rd Trend: Free Party
4th Trend: No Makeup
My favorite among the 4 trends was the free party. As I love to play with colors and try different looks. In this trend you have the freedom to go with imagination to come up with this look.
I also met some of my makeup artist friends there
and also some of celebrity makeup artists I look up to. Must say an added bonus.
I am very thankful to Mac Cosmetics for giving me this opportunity, specifically to Ms. Odessa Andal who has been supporting me since day 1. It was loving meeting Ms. Gay Lao and Ms. Vani Vergara of Mac Cosmetics Philippines as well.
I always find ways to keep myself updated with the latest make up trends and techniques by enrolling in classes, workshops or watching youtube make up tutorials.
Last Monday, March 10, 2014, I went to Mac Rockwell for makeover. Once you purchase make up worth 5000 and above you are entitled to a makeover. Since, I wanted to learn more techniques, I grabbed this opportunity and had my makeover done by, Mr. Raf Manosca, a certified Mac Make Up Artist in Mac Rockwell. Every make up artist has their own signature way of doing make up. To be honest, there is no such thing as rules in makeup.
Here’s a step by step procedure on how he did this make up on me.
To start of he applied Fix plus on my face. After which, with a cotton ball he applied Mac Lightful Marine Bright Formula Softening Lotion which acts as a toner. Then after he applied Prep and Prime Moisture Infusion Serum to give my face an instant glow. To neutralize the redness in some areas of my face and also to neutralize the dark circles in my under eye, he applied Prep and Prime CC Color correcting SPF 30. After that, he applied Studio sculpt Foundation in Shade of NC35 and to set my foundation he applied Mineralize foundation/ loose powder. To conceal my dark circles, he applied Prolongwear Concealer in NW30 and after set it with loose powder.
He applied Petal Power blush from the fantasy of flowers collection and to contour he applied Studio Fix Pressed Powder NW48. To highlight some areas on my face he used Superb Skin Finish from Magnetic Nude Collection.
To line my eyebrows, he used Spiked Eyebrow Crayon and to fill the gaps he used the charcoal brown eye shadow (e/s). On top he applied Beguile brow set.
To prime my lids he applied the Painterly Pro longwear paint pot. To highlight the inner corner of my lid, he applied Gorgeous Gold e/s, followed by Aquadisiac e/s and in the outer third of my lid, carbon e/s. In my eye crease he applied sketch velvet e/s and in my upper crease he applied crème de violet e/s and sushi flower e/s. To highlight my brow bone he applied gorgeous gold e/s. For my lips he applied the Snap Dragon lipstick and on top applied Mac’s Cremesheen Lipglass in Playful Petal. I totally loved my lip color.
Guerlain is one brand I grew up hearing a lot about since I was a little girl. For me from what I heard or saw at that time it symbolized luxury. Today, I had an opportunity to broaden my knowledge, learn and get to know about “Guerlain’s” perfume, skincare and makeup line. We got to watch some videos to show us a clearer picture about their products. All of their products are made from natural ingredients which are rare and they actually go out of their way to discover this through research. Among their popular ingredients are desert rose, orchids and bee products.
Among many products they have, I have picked out 5 which for me is I would definitely purchase either for personal use or for my dear clients.
(Photos are taken from www.guerlain.com)
1. Tenue De Perfection Foundation – It gives the skin good coverage, flawless and beautiful finish.
2. Meteorites Perles, Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer- This is a very good primer as it corrects and perfects the base before applying the foundation. It also gives a glowing finish without looking shiny.
3. Rouge Automatique Lipstick- I just fell in love with the lipstick as its very moisturizing as well as long wearing. I was floored by the packaging.
4. Terracotta 4 Seasons Tailor -Made Bronzing Powder- I love this bronzer so much as you can choose from variety of different shades which works best with your skin. It looks beautiful and natural in the skin as well.
5. Gloss D’Enfer- This is a perfect lipgloss as its made from natural ingredients it moisturizes, hydrates and keeps the lips baby soft. I love the feel of it in my lips.
I was one of the lucky few who won a prize. I didn’t go home empty handed I actually won one of the products I was eyeing on, lipgloss. Thank you, Guerlain for this wonderful opportunity and inviting UMAP (United Makeup Artist of the Philippines) for this enlightening make up workshop. I honestly love and have fallen in love with all your products.

I have always wanted to be a beauty queen since I was 9 yrs old. I have looked up upon most of the beauty queens. I grew up watching beauty pageants. Aishwarya Rai was one of my favourite among them. I even used to admire her a lot and look up upon her.
This time for my blog I wanted to do something different, something I haven’t done before. Just the afternoon before I was about to work on the blog I got a flash to do this look.
Here’s my own version of a step by step tutorial on how to do this kind of makeup.
I started with my daily skin care routine of cleansing and toning. I skipped moisturizing because my face was very oily so I proceeded to applying the primer. After I applied Rcma foundation all over my face and then set it with Rcma colorless loose powder.
I applied graftobian’s pink cream blush. I opted to contour very lightly on the hollows of my cheekbones, temples, the sides of the bridge of my nose and my jaw line with Mac’s Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Dark as I noticed Aishwarya’s makeup had minimal contour as well.
Using the Graftobian’s eyebrow pallete, I filled in the gap of my eyebrows with a dark brown eye shadow (e/s).
I started with priming my eye lid with Mac Prep and Prime Medium. Then I applied Mac’s Expensive Pink e/s in half of my lid and Mac’s Satin Taupe in the other half of my lid. Then I blended my crease with my Mac’s Rice Paper e/s and applied this to my brow bone as well. Then I applied black eyeliner in my upper lash line. Then curled my lashes, applied Mac’s Loud Lash mascara and applied false eyelashes. I applied Urban Decay’s Zero 24/7 glide-on eye pencil in my water line. In my lower lash line I applied Mac’s Satin Taupe e/s.
First, I lined my lips with Mac’s Cherry Lip Pencil and then with a lip brush I applied Mac’s Russian Red Lipstick.
Here’s my version of Holiday Makeup.
Here’s the step by step tutorial on how to achieve this makeup look.
After cleansing, toning and moisturizing my face, I applied Tarte clean slate flawless primer for my makeup to last long up to 10-12 hours. After which I applied RCMA foundation to have a flawless coverage. Then I set my make up with colorless RCMA loose powder.
I applied Graftobian’s pink cream blush to have a natural flush. I contoured the hollows of my cheekbones, temples, the sides of the bridge of my nose and my jawline with Mac’s Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Dark.
I filled in the gap in my eyebrows with dark brown eye shadow (e/s) and then applied Mac’s Beguile Brow Set.
I started with priming my eye lid with Mac Prep and Prime Medium. Then I applied Mac’s Nylon e/s near my teardrop to open up my eyes and also applied this to my brow bone to highlight it. Then I applied Ell-If-I-Know Bare Minerals pigments on my lid and then applied Inglot’s AMC 65 e/s in the outer third of my lid. In my eye crease I applied Soul Sister Bare Minerals Pigments. I lined my upper lash line with Mac’s Blacktrack fluidline. In my water line, I applied Urban Decay’s Zero 24/7 glide-on eye pencil. Under it I applied Peace Urban Decay e/s in the inner third and then I applied Graffiti Urban Decay e/s. To complete my eye makeup I curled my lashes and applied Maybelline’s The Falsies mascara and then applied false lashes.
I drew the shape of my lips with Mac’s Plum lip liner. Then I applied Mac’s Gel lipstick.
